practice specializes in the treatment of periodontics, devoted to the
diagnosis and treatment of gum, diseases. Included in this is the
surgical placement of implants and the treatment of TMJ disorders. My
goal is to help patients reach the highest level of oral health possible
so they may enjoy the benefits of a comfortable, functional, attractive
smile. I pride myself on being thorough in my patient examination and
education, gentle state of the art treatment methods, and having a

Dr. Mark Gutt graduated cum laude from
Boston University in,
1984. He attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental
Medicine where he received both, his doctor of dental medicine (DMD)
degree in 1989, and his specialty degree in Periodontics in 1991. He
recently was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of
Periodontology in May of 1999.
This prestigious status is attained by only 20% of the
world’s periodontists. Dr. Gutt relocated to
South Florida where he started his practice of Periodontics,
Implantology, and TMJ disorders in 1991. He is involved in the community,
and is on staff at the
Mount Sinai Hospital
Medical Center, in the dental clinic, the Aventura Hospital, in the
department of surgery. He was recently named as Chief of Periodontics at
the Mount Sinai Hospital Dental Clinic.
Dr. Gutt is a member of the various local dental
societies, including
Miami Beach,
South Broward, Alpha Omega, and Dade-Broward Osseointegration study club,
and was a past-president of the North Dade dental society for the 1996-97
term. In addition, he maintains his continuing education by attending the
local, national, and international dental meetings, and has also lectured
on the local circuits.
