Robotic-Assisted Dental Implant Placement

Developed by Neocis® technology, YOMI® is the first FDA-cleared robotically-guided dental implant surgery assistant.

Computer guidance and feedback

YOMI® uses digital technology and “haptic” (touch) feedback to assist Dr. Gutt in achieving precise angulation and location. YOMI® also tracks and follows patient movement. If the patient moves, so does YOMI®. This feature is very important, because successful dental implant placement is measured in millimeters.

Confident placement.

YOMI® provides Dr. Gutt with feedback to ensure that the implant has been placed at the desired depth.

Minimally invasive.

YOMI® displays Dr. Gutt with continual, real-time visual and auditory guidance on a computer monitor. Combined with haptic or touch guidance, YOMI® makes it possible for Dr. Gutt to use a minimally invasive approach to dental implant placement.

Faster recovery.

With YOMI®’s assistance, Dr. Gutt places dental implants in the precise location planned on the software using a minimally invasive technique, rather than the traditional method of creating an incision in your gum and pealing back a large flap of tissue. This approach means faster recovery after surgery.

Less time from evaluation to treatment.

Prior to YOMI®, it was often necessary for Dr. Gutt to take an impression and send it to a dental laboratory to make a surgical guide prior to treatment. With YOMI®, this step is eliminated, which saves the patient time and costs. In some cases, patients can be fully evaluated and treated at their first visit.
